Wheel bearing re-grease ... track day abuse
#1
Wheel bearings take some abuse at track days! I always find at least a smearing, sometimes 'globs', of greasy muck on the inside of my track wheels which I presume is from the bearings. Should I be concerned about this? Should I (can I) re-grease the bearings?
I believe it's caused by the heat generated from the brakes, but have heard that standard MY98 2-pot calipers should fade way before generating enough heat to seriously "de-grease" a bearing.

P.S.
I recall a posting ages ago about this but couldn’t find it (I think Pete Croney had an answer).
P.P.S
If it has any bearing (urgh!) on the heat generating side of things... my brakes are 2-pots, M1155 pads, Black Diamond X-drilled discs, Mintex racing fluid, and braided hoses.
P.P.P.S (not another one!!!)
Will ducting air directly to the calipers/disks help significantly, or is that an old wives tale?
