FALKEN Z-502`s Pretty Good actually...
#1
A couple of weeks ago I posted a load of blerb about the price of tyres, especially so2`s and how much gain there is to be had.
Well I shod my car with FALKEN ZE-502`s and then promptly buggered off to the Isle of Man which is the land of NO speed limits!!
I found myself blasting round the mountain circuit at speeds in excess of 120mph ( the bikes do 175+) and the tyres behaved really rather well. The weather was awful and the roads were damp and in some places like a river. Not content with thrashing round the roads we found an old disused airfield and I HAD to explore the characteristics of the new tyres aswell as the workings of the handbrake !!! What a superb time and all recorded for posterity by my girlfriend and the palmcorder!
In conclusion, the tyres are much cheaper than the pole positions and dont give the same level of grip BUT they are not far off and for the money saved well worth a look. It is too early to see any treadwear although they have been abused for 1000+ miles and dont show it all. They do screech a bit although the grip is still there.
