Help

I need some new pads urgently. I'm getting a horrible scraping sound - I'm sure its coming from the brakes. They are quite low but I assume not critical since it was serviced about 3 weeks ago !!!!!

Mick, try something like EBC Green stuff. This will help you with braking at a higher speed if that is your thing.

I agree, EBC Green Stuff are ace for road use.
Is there perhaps something stuck in your disc though that's causing the squeal?

Mick,

Avoid the EBC Greenstuff pads like the plague. I fitted them to my 97 car last year. They lasted a fraction of the distance that the originals did, and they were no better performance wise. Pay that little bit more and get some Mintex pads, far better.

Cool

Whenever the subject of EBC Greens comes up there are always some people saying that they are great and some people saying don't touch them with a bargepole.

Have EBC changed the pad recently so people who use it now think its great and people who used them a year or so ago think they are useless?

So which is it? Are EBC greens 2 thumbs fresh or not?

Talking

I've got some Lockheed pads being collected for me tomorrow. £34 - I was a bit scared off by the prices on the Scooby Mania website for special pads. I figure as these aren't too expensive I can always change them if I get a good recommendation and a good price.

Cheers

EBC Greens lasted me 12,000 miles on the road and I found them to be excellent, especially as they only cost £55.
I can only speak from my own experiences though.
