Cool

Hi Guys n Gals.

Just must have a boast etc. about my new wheels as i'm well chuffed. Apologies for any typos as i've had one to many sherberts to celebrate.

Had fitted today to my MY97 Silver Scoob some Prodrive PD7 17" Antracite wheels with 215/40 Toyo Proxes. They look cooler than a very cool thing! . Best part is the price I got 'em for. The top guys at "Beechdale" Subaru in Derby did them for £1000.16 fitted including a brand new set of nuts (for the car ). Some dealers were quoting near enough £1500 with the Proxes. <gulp>

Having spent many hours viewing wheels, I know that I have made the right choice. If your Scoob is Silver, you coulfd do a lot worse.

A very happy Chris.

I've been thinking about this combination too.

Do you have a picture?

Cool

Cheers for the replies guys.

I don't have a Pic. of them on the car yet. However, I've just returned from dropping my old Prodrive wheels to Chris Pinnock. I am sure it won't be long before he has a pic. on his site. (Chrisp - Official Scooby photographer LOL).

Regarding the Tarox. Yes is was me, and NO they wouldn't fit behind my old Prodrive wheels . It was a good excuse to get hold of some new wheels . Going for AP's now, when i've made peace with the Bank Manager. .

See you all at the Pod next Sunday 21/5. I was talking with Chrisp about meeting up at LFE services on the M1 for a convoy. Tell you what i'll start a thread.

Cheers
Chris

Red face

KenG,

Top car mate !

What exhaust do you have fitted to the car? I noticed the skirts at the bottom of your car aren't DBM; is that true ?

BTW I've been trying your site and noticed some Java errors. IE 5 tells me it can't find the fphover class !?!?

Is this something I'm doing wrong ?

Unhappy

Oh poo!!!

I've just got a silver MY99, with the Prodrive wing!! I was looking at the Prodrive 7 alloys, but it would mean that our cars would look the same!!

Different alloys will be on the cards!!

Angry

Akira (Chris),

My apologies for pointing you towards GGR regarding the Tarox option - looks like they are pushing some duff info.

Now you have changed your wheels, I guess it's pretty academic but I got my wheels measured on Friday at Hi Spec and Wilwood calipers will fit the original Prodrive wheels.....

I do like your new wheels incidentally (and I bet they are a darn sight easier to clean) and with AP brakes to match, I will be very jealous

Thanks

Gavin

Stefan,

I think you need the latest Java VM. I'll get rid of the hover buttons as they look cute but rely on the browser/JVM version too much.

I decided not to have the skirts colour matched because, when you fit the splash guards and colour them as well, it looks too much. Matter of taste I suppose.

The exhaust is Prodive (part of the PPP), or was for 10 minutes, with the back-box swapped out for the Scooby Sport box. Love it, sounds like an angry bear being poked with a stick!

Cool

Chris,

Got mine on Saturday: PD7 17" Antracite wheels with 215/40 S02 PPs on a silver car.

They give the car a purposeful look

Wheels cost me 700.02 incl. (Subaru dealer)
Tyres: 508.91 incl. (Micheldever)

Sounds like you got a good deal.

Rich.
