Question

I'm going to need new tyres soon for my 97MY 5 door. Any recommendations? I know everyone loves S02's, but you can't get those on the smaller wheels (can you?).

Anyone got experience of Potenza RE720's?

Cheers,

Stephen

You can get SO2's in 15" sizes. I believe the size you are after would be 205/55 and according to the Bridgestone site these are available. I have links to the major tyre producers web sites on my scoobynuts site. Try

Thanks, you're not wrong. They must be new in this size - I'm sure when I looked before they didn't do them.

Anyone tried the lower spec Bridgestones?

I've found a place (Alba tyres, Bradford) that'll do be 15" SO2's for £90 each plus VAT and balancing etc.

Sounds reasonable.

Millband,

I too have the poor man's wheels. Fitted SO2 Pole Positions about 2K / 1 month ago. Improvement over the fitted Pirelli's was remarkable. Better grip and stability in all situations, particuarly noticable in the wet. ABS hasn't activated once since.

Paid £92 incl. VAT & fitting in Milton Keynes.

That's bloody cheap - but the petrol to Milton Keynes from Bradford might offset the savings I suppose!
