Unhappy

A few thousand miles ago (before I was aware of this excellent bulletin board!!) I bought a set of Avon ZZ1 205/50 16" tyres for my scooby - mainly on cost and the fact they offered a directional tread pattern which may help tramlining tendancies.
They fixed the tramlining, but have destroyed the car's turn in and grip. The original RE010 were miles better. I think most of the problems are due to the sidewalls being soft. With the correct pressure the sidewalls are noticeably softer than the Bridgestones.
They are so far off the mark I would not contemplate adjusting any of the settings.

If anybody knows of a fix (apart from doughnuts ) then great, otherwise my advice would be don't buy them!!

I would challenge your assertion and put the Continental ContiSport Contact tyre forward as the worst Impreza tyre I have driven on. They are a little too hard, not particularly good in the dry or wet, expensive and, worst of all, when they do not have a very progressive breakaway at the limits.

On the other extreme: 16" Toyo T1S are brilliant, grippy, progressive and relatively inexpensive (circa £340 a set, inc fitting and vat!).

worst thing I ever drove was a 911 on Avons!
My M5 car has them on and it won't turn in either. Shan't be buying any more.
