Grooved cross-drilled or both

I'm thinking of changing my front brakes on my 04 WRX and i've seen discs that are grooved or cross-drilled or both, can anybody tell me the the advantages or diadvantages are for each, Thanks.

in very basic terms you want "grooved" only as most "drilled" discs will crack to an extent.....................

Try AP as I have been using a sine wave type that is continious around the disc, after 55,000 miles worn out but no cracks or warping.
