My Stiv3 will soon be on hill climb grade AVON slick os STi 16'' rims. I'm having the crossply type fitted. Bearing in mind this is a hillclimber, any ideas on where to start on the pressures? I think c/p slicks run at low pressures, ie 25psi???
Can anyone give me a starting pressure?

most racing slicks run at around the 30-34psi (HOT) so a starting point slightly higher given the lack of 'warm-up' during your run may be advisable..............as in all things will probs be a little trial & error!!

Alyn, thanks for the suggestions. I'm getting the tyres from BMTR in Birmingham so will check with them also. My Stiv3 runs 35 psi all round on road Kumho's...as you say, trial and error at our club's practice day...must buy an electric pump!

we do have a "Grp Buy" on fuel pumps and regs at the mo', but must finish over the next few days if you're interested..............see thread in general...............
