Default Knocking / Vibration on Right handers - Only on Track!!!

I've only ever expierienced this on track and not on the road but when I push hard around right handers only I get a knocking / Vibration which appears to be from the passenger side front wheel. Nothing on lefts or on the road around round abouts etc.

I thought perhaps it might either be -

damper overheating
Bushes
cv joint overhearing / wearing

HELP!!!!

Not much help I know but I have the exact same problem & have for a while.
Again bad on track + I can provoke it on the road but most road surfaces don't have as much grip as tracks.
I have so far ruled out : top mounts - changed to after market then back again as no better.
ball joint - was leaking anyway - but no better.
drive shafts/cv joints - had reconditioned - no better
don't think it's the damper as I have Leda & it's not leaking & works fine.
bushes - I have powerflex - so don't think they move much anyway.
Next thing I was going to try is track rod end as although you can't feel it through the steering it could be that ? I think.
I have been to 2 dealers & they were not much help.
If u get it sorted let me know
Cheers
Mark

Do you have a strut brace fitted?

It's really weird. It feels like the wheel is just hopping accross the road! Perhaps I need the geometry set up again?

Yes - just fitted a lower front strut brace - no change

I have just got my car back after experiencing similar problems. On the two occasions when it was in before they replaced the NSF top bearing and then reseated the springs, but the problem was still there.

This time they found the splines on the NSF hub were worn out. They said that they hadn't seen it before.

I now have a new hub and bearing and the problem seems to have been cured on cornering. Unfortunately the steering now vibrates badly over 65mph. Hopefully they have just knocked off one of the wheel balancing weights.

I'm going to take it back in to confirm this.

That sounds like it's worth a look - what sort of cost for the hub ?
Cheers.

Sorry Mark, it was done under warranty so I don't know the cost.

I took the car back in on Friday and they found that the front tyres were deformed, one of them quite badly - so bad they couldn't balance it apparently

I had two new tyres fitted and now the vibration has gone. The old tyres were very unevenly worn too so I think I need to get the alignment re-checked ASAP.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

hoorah... solved.... Shock on the rear was Fecked... basically lots of oil leak and you could pust it down with one finger and it didn't return!!!!!!!!

Changed to Spec c struts and eibach springs and all fixed... bootiful handling again thanks to powerstation.

Another thing it can possibly be is the downpipe knocking against the steering column. Happenned on my old WRX.
