Wheel spacers for classic shape!!! help!
I have just bought a set of 17s 225 45s and there is not alot of room between the rear suspension and tyre, about 3mm,
Now would I be able to safely put on a 3mm spacer to give me a much more acceptable 6mm gap.
Any advice appreciated.

I don't think wheel spacers are the answer - the tyres are the wrong size for your car. You need 215/40 or 205/45. If you use spacers with the current tyres they will probably rub on the wheel arches.
Cheers,
Ian.

Just to reiterate, 225 is too wide to fit a classic, and 215/45 is the wrong size and will make the speedo read slow. Risky
