tyre profiles / sizes alternatives ??
Just a quick question to enquire about alternate sizes of profiles and widths that can be used..
I currently have 15" rims and if my memory serves me correctly uses
205/60/15 tyres (although i could be wrong)
can i drop the profile to a 55 or 50 say
if so what would be the effect on my speedo , and would i have to tell the insurance co??

Check out, www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html for a neat and easy size comparison thingy, this will tell you what is a safe size range to use. I always think it is good practice to tell the insurance about even the smallest change, even if they dont increase your premium, if they dont know about it they will jump on any excuse not to pay up!
