Going to need a new set for tyres very shortly for my uk300 - at the mo i've got Perelli Russo 225-40-18's that came on it as standard. So i just get a new set of these or can anyone recommend a better choice of tyre??
Thanks
Thanks
This is always a debate on here.A friend of mine once said 'there is only one thing that more bulls**t is talked about than politics & thats tyres!'.So to add my 10p's worth here goes, I had the Toyo's on my VW Corrado a couple of years back & was very impressed with them.Had run on Pirelli's before which I found OK when its a bit warmer (i.e.the summer) but crap come the cold season (i.e.spring autumn winter).Once had a pair of Generals on which were hard wearing & great in the wet but expensive. Now moved onto Good Year F1's on MY99 wagon after reading many comments on here.It was a toss up between G Y's & Toyos with both being around the same price (£79).Impressed so far but only done about 500-1000 miles on them.Still pushes out on the front end when its damp/wet on roundabouts though & after reading many comments (on here again) have decided that the bumpsteer mod & geometry set up is my next step.Wouldn't have known any of this if I wasn't on this site so thanks very much everyone.

The Rosso it a very good tyre. I have been told that Vredsetein is the best pound for pound tyre that money can buy at the mo with exceptional pwerformacne in the wet.
Does anyone know/tried these before?????

A friend with an STi8 swears by Vredestein. He says the Toyos offer a little more dry grip, but the Vredesteins last much longer,. They are a little dearer at around £127.

MadMark, i put P-Zero Nero's on my MY99 (205/50ZR16?) just before Christmas and they're great.
Admittedly i haven't really compared them against anything else as i put them on just after buying the car - but they seem impossible to unstick so far <looks around nervously for some wood to touch>.

As said above it's personal choice.
I would never fit PZero Rossos to a Scoob again even if I was given them. Frightneing tyre! Completely unpredicatable and gives no warning of impending doom.
Toyo Proxes T1-S and Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 are both very good tyres for all weather conditions. Very predictable, good levels of grip and breaks away slowly on the limit giving you enough time to react.
All IMHO
Nathan..

Boring you can say...
I was realy frigthened(?) when I was on track whith them for the first time. After less then 10min. they were so hot that I had nearly no more grip on the Front(out-temp. about 10C!). That never happend to the 7000´s (same setup, pressure, etc!)
