Hi guys. My new car came with these as standard(not a Scooby). How do these tyres rate against things like Goodyear F1s etc?

They are much better from F1s (F1s tend to split on the sidewalls) and similar if not better from S03 but from what I understand they aren't famous in UK. Have a look here for some test results. A little pricey though!

Thanks Theo. Might aswell wait until they wear oout before I uprate to 18s then. The Goodyear mentioned in the tests are RS, is that the same as the F1s?

It is worth mentioning that the original Pilots Sports are a very different tyre to the new type. About the only thing good I can remember about the set I had is that they did not wear fast Which = not much grip, 5hite in the wet, very loud on some types of tarmac.

I am told the new ones are significantly better, but I fixed the old ones by getting some S03 PPs

HTH

Edit: All IMHO of course

Question

Totally confused now. Tony, when you say 'old' and new Pilots what do you mean? When did they improve? How comes Theos link seems to rate them best in that group?
Deep.
