as it says, I'm just interested to see if its a wide scale problem or just limited to a few people.
If you can put down which model of alloy, size and the problem.
Thanks

Out of interest - what MY Imprezas are you experiencing this on and what sort of brake set-up?
I'm only asking as I've seen this, well similar pitting on a.n.other alloy, but think its down to salt/cr@p on the roads + brake compound... Although I'm probably barking up the wrong tree...

mines a my95 with 320mm brembo 4 pots on the front and standard on the back. i'm getting pitting on all 4 alloys so i don't think it is anything to do with the brakes though.

Cheers, ok no similarity then.
On mine it looks like very hot debris is possibly burning/annodisinh (sp!) with the wheel lacker... only on the fronts. Hmm... Ah well, thanks anyway.

i've been back to the shop were i got the wheels and they phoned arospeed whilst i was there and apparently arospeed think that the problem is actually caused by the brake dust as they are having a lot of problems with impreza's!
they going to check it out further and let me know.

phok - thanks for the update.
Interestingly enough, the wheels I've got were fine on a.n.other Impreza with DS2500 pads on (I got them second hand), but since they've been on mine literally within 4-6 weeks this problem started to show.
I know there have been problems with pads before, remember the whole Alcon/DS2000 pad (or was it DS3000) debate when they were introduced for the P1s and the OZ wheels getting damaged over time.
Ended up with Subaru supplying a different pad set-up with the Alcon and replacing a few sets of alloys, as far as I remember.

sounds like arospeed are jumping on the band-wagon to me! might be wrong but as i said before i've got brembo's on the front and standard brakes on the back. i would imagine the pad compound of these are very different but i'm getting exactly the same pitting / corrosion on all 4 wheels.
i'll let you know what they say tomorrow....no doubt i'll have to phone them to chase though!

good news!
r-tec (the shop i got them) phoned me back this morning to say arospeed have told them to replace the wheels if they think it should be covered under warranty....and luckily they do!
i just need to drop the car off and they'll swap them over, hopefully this set will last a bit longer!
top marks to arospeed and r-tec as far as i'm concerned.

I'm just waiting to get pics taken to send to _ _ _ before they replace them, but what if it continues to happen, will they keep replacing the wheels or do you pick another make?

Just bought a set of the darker style rsgts (gunmetal) from TSL last week - I've been advised to wash them weekly, (jet spray - so should be no probs).
I'll let you know how I go on, as it sounds like any probs will show within the first 4-6 weeks !

I wash mine by hand with sponge and car wash yet it still happens, just watch what brake pads (!) you use if thats the line their using.
