The following three seem to be the weapon of choice for most scooby owners:

Toyo Proxy T1-S
Bridgestone S03
Good Year Eagle F1 GSD3

Personally, I prefer the F1s, although I currently running Toyos and finding they are very good too.

Not regretted fitting Toyo Proxes...certainly miles better than the standard fit Bridgestone Potenzas.

Personally, I found PZeros useless in the wet, I've had the standard PZero, the Rosso and the Nero and didn't like any of them.
As for wear rating, I think (I'm probably wrong) the current T1-S is roughly the same as the F1 - I'm probably going to try F1s on the STi next, and see if they are slightly better in the wet or whether it was just my imagination...

So far I'm liking the T1-S performance, been testing the control of them under wet and slippy conditions over the last week - quite easy to predict and control.

My view, P-Zeros ... wouldn't have as a gift. Toyos, "ok" in the dry but nbg in the wet. F1's ... the best available currently for wet and dry in my view, I have them on the STi5 and STi9 at the moment and can't fault. My comments relate to tyre performance not wear rate, if you want max wear rate the something like Michelin Pilot Sport varient would be good however ther is no performance comparison.

I use the old Bridgestone S02 as my benchmark tyre, the F1's are better in the wet.

F1's are also v good at eliminating tramlining, the RE070's on the '9 tramlined all over the place, it all stopped with the F1's.

Also F1's were £99 per corner all in, vat, balancing, valves etc 225-45-17 size at Micheldever Tyres.
