...to get hold of 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's, size 215-40-17?
I have spoken to loads of garages and none of them can supply and fit the tyres by this Saturday!
I have three words for the bods down at Goodyear, 'BETTER STOCK CONTROL...'
I'm in West London, can anybody help?!!
Mark.
PS. I put this in the General section to get maximum visability...

You'll be lucky
They tend to be supplied every now and then.
I was after same size but had to get Toyos instead.
Usually if 1 place doesnt have them then no one will. They are supplied from Germany and hence come by boat which means container loads every now and then.
Its prolly not their stock control but how many they can make IMO. Seems to be a v popular tyre...

I work for a large wholesaler & we haven't got any.
In fact Goodyear told us 5 minutes ago that THEY'RE out of stock and the tyres won't be available until early in the New Year
I can assure you that this won't be the last time availability problems like this occur - the average tyre manufacturer can't spell 'availability' let alone achieve it.
Good luck with the search however.

it's probably too late, but you could try:
Sparks Discount Tyre Centre
271, Haydons Rd
London
SW19 8TX
Tel: 020 8542 1001
It's in wimbledon if that's any help.
They managed to get me some F1 16's the next day. Might be worth a go

Thanks for the feedback guys! Nice try Richard - I managed to find loads of places that had one or two, but they wanted silly money.
I had no luck finding a set of four F1's at a reasonable price so I went for 4 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico 205-45-17's (P1 OZ alloys). I managed to get these for £96 per wheel all in. I know the wet performance is no where near as good, but I have already done 100 miles on these tyres and I can definitely say that:
1) The dry performance is MUCH better, and I mean a lot.
2) The road noise is significantly reduced compared to the F1's which were loud to the point of being intrusive.
That said, I'm probably going to wrap myself around a tree the next time it rains!!!
This has all come about because I upgraded my OEM MY00 six spoke alloys to a set of 17" OZ P1 alloys. I'll post up some pictures later if somebody can tell me how to do it!
Mark.
