Ken Is that EBC Disks and Red Stuff Pads. How did you get on with them. I had that combination on and killed them with one day at Knockhill. Found that Mintex 1155,s work a lot better.
BARTMANUK I have done the same with my Calipers. I used Hamerite Smoothrite paint. The dark red they do matches the Deep Red Mica Subaru colour quite well.

The same as you 3 laps of Knockhill had them in flames then I found that the Disks warped quite quickly.

Now running Black Diamond disks with 1155 pads.

These are painted with Hammerite Engine Lacquer, the same as I use to touch up the manifold.

Yes, you can get bright red Hammerite smooth, Halfords do it for about a fiver. When you apply it, put the second coat on after half an hour or so, then leave to dry overnight. Job done, looks great.

Did mine today. A couple of coats of red Hamerite from Halfords then Humbrol white enamel on a block of wood pressed onto the lettering.

I had the same problem deciding what to get too. I wanted the Pagid Black (4-2-1) pads and discs but after speaking to various suppliers it seems the Pagids discs are currently poor quality due to company/factory changes. In the end I went for the Pagid pads with Tarox 44 groove discs (pic above).

Give these people a ring - they're all incredibly helpful and will give you sound advice (mention Scoobynet):

Cool colour paint!

What exactly are you getting for £895? That seems f'ing expensive just for discs and pads! You could get a big brake conversion for that!

Now I've had a chance to use the car since the weekend I've noticed a big improvement in bite and stopping power with the Pagid 421 pads. These were £140 and the Tarox discs were £200.

Cheers,
James
