Question

Has anyone painted their 4 pot calipers red. If so, could you post pics if possible. Want to know what they look like with gold wheels. The brembos look awesome, but not sure about the 4 pots.
Cheers Sloaner.

Perhaps you'd get a better idea if I'd cleaned them?

How's this?

Did think about paining the letters white, but never got round to it. I think you would need a fairly steady hand to do a good job.

If done properly they do look very nice

Planning to do it this weekend. Paint a lump of wood and use it as a stamp on the raised parts

I'll pop some of mine up when I get a piccy sorted. They come red as standard (AP's), behind my gold Speedline's - they look very nice, although I did want blue ones -

nice one talizman do you remember the make of the paint you got? seems there are different shades of red. Did you have to buy high temp white or is just ordinary stuff??

Nothing fancy here...

The best and cheapest way is simply red hammerite from Halfords.

Alternatively, any red 2 pack or cellulose base coat without the hardener/thinners works well also.

Personally I'd get down to Halfords for the hammerite though.

I tried the red smooth hammerite from Halfords and found it too orangey in colour.

In the end i bought some small Hummel enamel paint pots (£3 for 2) and used them,i mixed red and crimson so i could get match for my front Brembo's.

I reckoned i used about half the paint to paint the calipers.

Btw these were the rear calipers i painted,i don't know if it will be any good on the front calipers due to the extra heat they can generate.
