Question

I have spoken with someone from Chips-Away today about a small repair to a kerbed 18" Rally Gold Prodrive OZ wheel (Subaru p/n: SACC2550). He said that they could repair it to 'like new', but I would lose the 'O.Z racing' logo on the rim.

Does anybody know if replacement logos are available? If so from where?

Also what is the paint colour code.

Thanks.

Yes, that is why I asked. My wheels did not match the sample he had, and thought it may be one of the other wheels.

I've bought a similar logo from Listers for about £2.00. I also sprayed the wheel and the sticker with clear laquer after fitting. It's been on for 18 months with no problems.

Regards,

Ian

They quoted about £65. This is the first person I have spoken to about it, so not sure if that is more expensive than the norm.

Well ive heard they are really good.

Usual price is around £50 but ive seen some for more so i guess £65 is good.

Let me know how the quality comes out

I've seen a wheel painted/repaired by a 'mobile van' type out fit. The paint came of the wheel when cleaning with meths to fit the stickers !!! The paint used by a body shop didn't. I know who I'd trust to paint a wheel. Most body shops can match wheel colours exactly and I paid £25 to have a slight mark sprayed.

Hi PippyRips any good bodyshop can match the colour. I don't know the code, sorry.

My car's great thanks. It's my second Scoob (1st was a MY97). Hope you're enjoying yours. It must be the last one from the number you've got !!

Best regards,

Ian

Hi,
I have a UK 300 (no 75) and IMHO the Prodrive pack is a must, otherwise you have a bog standard MY01 WRX with big wheels and better lights. I've just had the Phase 3 suspension pack fitted from TSL Motorsports and it handles better than ever. I thought it was good before but now it is the dogs gonads - also had the tyres replaced with Toyo Proxies - the Pirellis were slightly illegal after 23K miles. Together they transform the handling and it looks much better for being 2" lower. I definitely recommend all three.

i've got the PPP pack - and have been thinking about lowering her slightly. If you don't mind me asking how much was the suspension pack? also have you got any pics?

I imagine another way to get some more performance from the car would be to lose some of the cats. - have/does anyone know anything about this?
