Question

Looking to upgrade discs and pads on MY00 UK Turbo with std 4-pots and 16" wheels. Don't do track days (not yet anyway) but occasionally indulge in a spot of "enthusiastic" driving.

Do I go for Pagid 8-grooves with RS4.2.1 pads?
Or Godspeeds (drilled, grooved or both?) with Mintex 1144 pads?
Or Tarox G88 discs (what pads?)

Or something else???

All comments gratefully received!

Zippy - cheers for the info

Steven - I'm used to dust - not sure what pads are on mine at the moment but they give off LOADS of dust
What discs/pads would you recommend? And do you have a spare set of BIG wheels you'd like to sell/give/donate me

**** Steven, just read your thread relating to engine probs

I'd just like to point out that I requested your wheels before I read about your misfortune - I was NOT being a vulture

I fitted the Pagid discs and pads to my RB5. Big improvement over the standard items. Cant remember exactly how much but got a good deal from Performance Braking in Monmouth.

Steve, no probs. I have AP 6 pots with Ds2500 pads, and would not recommmend anything else, as they have been faultless. Only downside is brake dust (read as Shed loads more than standard)

No wheels spare, but you would need 17's for above
