Pagid Grooved Disks & Midland Impreza
#1
Went to purchase Pagid grooved discs and blue pads from Midland Impreza few months back. They didn't have any new discs in stock but had ones which had 'hardly been used'. Anyway had the set fitted and followed the bedding in procedure.
Soon found the brakes juddering at speed (over60-70mph). Went back and they fitted new discs but the same thing happened again! They advised it might be shim/pin kit so brought newe kit from Subaru and fitted it. Still judders like mad, and they deny that their discs could ever warp! Mind you they told me the pads weren't noisy (which they are).
Any experiences of the discs and possible solutions?

how exactly did you "bed" everything in, was this advised by the supplier??
we in general no longer deal with Pagid discs because of a concern over the quality of these items across the range.......Pagid are now under the control of TMD friction, who also owns Mintex, and a change would appear to have occurred.......
this has NO EFFECT on Pagid Competition who we are still one of the MAIN agents for, and if anything the range of hi-performance & competition pads is improving (as if that were possible!!)

was told to go easy on them for xxx miles then really stamp on the brakes 3 times to activate the brake pad compound.
By looking at Scoobynet I can see I'm not the only one who has had warped Pagid discs from Midland Impreza.
According to Midland Impreza (Graham) they have NEVER had any Pagid Discs warp and deny that it could happen!
Where do I stand on terms of warranty and replacement?

pretty poor bedding instructions..........
Pagid have a 1yr warranty which is normally fairly "quibble" free, but you have to take it up with the purchasing supplier.......
i have never come across any disc that is "warp free" in all situations!!

jees 'drive easu for a while then stamp on em ?!?!?!' sounds like it was mickey mouse or noddy who gave you that one, last time i had my discs/pads done it was brembo and ferrodo/a !?!? and the bedding procedure was very comicated and seemed to last ages, all this left foot braking stuff and stops from 30-10 40 -20 etc
