I need tyres now and cannot wait...

I have to get tyres and have them fitted today.
The only ones all of the local dealers have in stock,
ready to fit are ZZ3s(93), Dunnop SP1(110) and Michelin
Primacy(137). Thy have others which no-one every buys too...
I currently have worn Eagle F1 DS3s.
My rear inner only has a few mm left and is bald on the shoulder.
My rear outer has a few mm left and is worn on the inside.
I used to have NCT5s and know that they do not grip very well.
From experience, is it likely that the ZZ3s would grip better than my existing bald tyres. Would they grip any less and be any more dangerous than NTC5s (which were acceptibleish)?
Thanks.

I am running out of time now...ZZ3s are cheapest.
I only have 1 hour today to fit this in or I'll
have to drive around for two weeks with a bald tyre.
Are ZZ3s that bad ?

I've heard ZZ3's referred to as being 'teflon coated', i.e. they won't stick to anything (this is from a wide variety of sources, not just scoobynet).
Are you still looking for tyres? There was a tyre group test in evo magazine sometime last year. I can't remember the exact finishing order, but F1 GSD3's were first, Toyo Proxes T1-S were third, whilst the Avon ZZ3s were pretty near, if not in last place. If you're still looking for treads, I'll dig the issue out.
All in all, AVOID!!!

Thanks...done that. Useful link.
Pirelli P6000's are also an option now. There are not
many reviews or mentions of these tyres on scoobynet.
I was going to go for these instead of the ZZ3s.
After checking the tyresonline site, it appears that
the ZZ3s strength is wet handling which is a weakness
for the p6000.
Most of the negative opinions I have found on the ZZ3
tyre do not mention if the bad grip is in the dry or wet...
Could it be that these tyres are only bad in the dry ?
I am more bothered about grip in the wet as I have never experienced an 'uncontrolleable' slide in the dry.
Are ZZ3s good for wet driving ?
