18x8 or18x7.5? for 2003MY WRX

I am considering upgrading to 18" Wheels with 225 tyres.Most retailers push 8"wide for imprezas,yet the dealers only sell 7.5 section wheels.I know 8" would be heavier,but are there any other drawbacks?

I just got some 18" OZ prodrives - they are 7.5" and they are obviously specifically for impreza's.
I've got 225/35/18 tyres on with no problem what so ever. IMO this is the nearest diameter to the original setup with a 225 tyre.
I'm not sure about 8" wide.

PS - I've got some Goddyear F1's in this profile, at an excellent price. £120 each!!
