Brembo Brake Kit Anyone Having Problems ?

Hi guys,
I fitted the brembo brake kit a while ago as part of the group buy, recently a ticking clicking noise suddenly started to eminate from o/s wheel checked for the obvious brake line, mud flap catching nothing. Swapped front wheels around and it cured it now its come back on both wheels, you only hear it on full or close to full lock a very mettalic pinging noise sounds like its coming from the hub area alloys look in good condition.............
Anybody got any ideas its driving me mad.

Yeah everything looked ok, swapped the wheels around again and its gone AGAIN.......Greased the hubs up a bit I have heard that aluminium stretches in the heat and can cause noises like this.

Several years ago I had a similar kit installed.
It was 305x28 mm disc and a brembo caliper in the standard 16" rim (MY98)
During hard cornering, the rim will bend.
Because of the rather small clearance between the caliper and rim, the outside of the caliper will hit the rim.
This makes a metal scraping noise.
The rim can easely collect some dirt. Especially now in hot weather some tarmac can stay on the inside of the rim.
After removing the wheel there should be some scratches visible on the outside of the caliper.
Not on the spokes side of the caliper, but on top of the caliper.
If this is the problem, then change to 17" rims, that is what I did and the problem was solved.
APracing is using a smaller caliper and a 304x28 mm disc.

Thanks for that....that was one of my worries but......I'm running 19" alloys so there's plenty of clearance at the top. I have checked the calipers and all parts of the wheels for scratch marks nothing......

Was it a Red Dot kit?
If so, check the hoses. Had no probs with mine.
How close to the inside rims are the callipers? (1 - 2 mm?)
Being on the safe side, I'd take it to PS, TSL or SS and let them check it out.

Oh, I forgot,
remove the dustshields behind the discs, sometimes there can be small stones being caught between the disc and the shield.
This can give some sqeeking noises.
And removing them in increases the airflow to the disc and improves the cooling.
And don't worry about splashing through water, I drive always without dustshields and it never gave me any problems or whatsoever.
