I too used the Turtle Wax extreme wheel cleaner, did a nice job on my gold alloys, plenty of brake dust for it to tackle.
Just a word of warning, wear some of those desposible gloves when you use this stuff, i did'nt and the bloody stuff burnt my hands, it contains HYDROCHLORIC ACID, battery acid to you and me.
Halford are , as said before are doing Turtle Wax products at 2 for the price of one at the moment, been taking good advantage of this, polish, upholstery cleaner, bug remover, shampoo, dash cleaner and so on.

Hi, what do people use for cleaning alloy wheels, MY98 5 spokes, they are in pretty good condition anyway but used Turtle Wax Alloy Wheel Cleaner but it won't remove the old ingrained brake dust particles.
Cheers

i make my own stuff by buying proper alloy acid from a valeters outlet near me and watering it down. im using a 50/50 mix at the minute and so far no brake dust has stood up to it even the g/f s 50,000 mile estate has the cleanest wheels around!

The best I have used, and I have just ordered more is P21S.
Germany stuff, it is a gel so is viscous and doesn't drain off, applied from a spray bottle, is not 'agressive' but does a great job.
BTW it is NOT cheap (£15/litre) but lasts well.
