Question

While fitting new Pagid 421 pads to my original rotors (53,000 Km)I noticed the front rotors look quite worn.

This is the third set of pads. The first two sets were original replacements.

The surface seems to be convex shaped from the inner to outer edge. Is this normal? The thickness at the center of the rotor is 0.85" and at the outer most edge it is down to 0.842"(lipped ? )

It also seems that the front of the pad when fitted, may actually be overlapping and touching the surface of the inner hub by about 1mm. Is this also normal?

I was thinking to have the rotors skimmed to make them "true" again however I am not sure of the minimum thickness that you should go to on these rotors.

The above measurements are taken with a "G" shaped micrometer across the inner and outer rotors of the front wheels. i.e it is the total thickness of the rotor disc not just one surface.

Any advice here would be welcomed.

Thanks
