Question

Afternoon All !
I'm about to get scoob serviced (Again!) and am thinking of having Braided Hoses and heavier brake fluid fitted while i'm there.

My brakes are the crappy two pot sliding caliper things, they're actually adequate round town but you need some anticipation when slowing from 3 figures!

Can i get a set of Goodridge hoses for these?
Anyone know the part number or how much?

Cheers
Dave (MY 00 WRX RA V Ltd).

Can't remember the code numbers but give TSL Motorsport(they're based in Nottingham) a bell and they'll sort you out. Quite surprised to find 2 pots on such a late MY, would have expected 4 pots.
Sorry forgot to add that they are usually £50-60, in the past the end fittings came in either plated mild steel or stainless steel but I think they're all stainless now.
God my spelling and grammer have gone to pot

Hi Dave,

Yes, goodridge do make a braided hose kit for your car which carries a part No. of ZSU0400-4P & should retail for about £55+Vat.

You mention that you have sliding calipers fitted to you car.

If you are running a 00my Wrx you should in reality have the fixed 2 pot set-up on the rear & the front calipers should be of the fixed 4 pot variety.

If your calipers have the word Subaru written on them, (this is visble through the wheel spokes) then you do have the later calipers fitted.

If that is the case then the above kit will fit.

Hope this helps
Phil

Thumbs up

Thanks for the replies guys.

You'll notice that it's a Type RA we're talking about - they come in some very different and varying specs. Rumour has it that this batch of ten cars were initially destined for the rallies and as such came with brakes that would have been binned anyway!

There is no 'SUBARU' wording on the calipers and i would probably upgrade them to 4 Pots but i'm thinking of getting rid in september.

Dave.
