Tyre size help, please
Sorry to ask another tyre size question (especially if it has been asked before)!
I would like to put some 215/45/17 from a MY03 WRX onto a MY98 turbo (current size 205/50/16).
Will this be ok?
I understand the speedo might overread by 2-3%.

I'm sorry to say the answer is a definite maybe.
Classic Imprezas usually have 205/45/17 or 215/40/17 tyres when using 17" rims. It depends on the make of tyre & the offset of the wheels as to whether you'll get any arch rubbing or not. I'm no expert on the newer wheels - I'm quite happy with my superTs.

Depends if you're just talking about the tyres or the tyres+wheels. You certainly can't put 17 inch tyres on 16 inch rims!
Like dnb said, if you want to switch tyres+wheels, it depends on the offset of the wheels.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
the idea was to take the 17inch alloys and tyres (215/45/17) from a MY03 and put straight onto my classic.
Someone has mentioned the offset may be different.
