buying 18" alloys - does anyone bother buying 5 ?

Just had half a thought, what happens if you have a puncture and your spare is 17" alloy?

No expert so for god sake dont go soley on my advise, lol , but I would imagine that the difference in tyre profiles between the 17" 'spare' and the other 3 'good' 18"ers would be negligible so sould there for probably mean it is fine...I think....

Afterall, although I know you cant use them properly, but look at those little space saver wheels.

Some people do buy a fifth alloy wheel as the spare - eg if you are into your ICE you may have a neat install in the back, and a nice shiney matching alloy (on show) can sometimes look pretty cool.

But imo, unless you are gonna do something like that, I wouldnt bother with the extra expense.
