Does anyone have a good procedure, tools, parts required etc for changing the pads on sti7/8's ?
I was thinking at £220 + Fitting, I would do it myself.
I have a good level of engineering but just want advice and the procedure, just in case there is something that may catch me out ?
I can get the pads cheaper than the dealer from a motorsport place.
Anybody help.
The brakes are still ok at present (Only done 1400 miles), just planning for the future
Any Advice would be good

The reply I got is as follows
They should have 2 pins holding the pads in place with a spring clip to stop them rattleing , tap the 2 pins out with a thin rod , the pads will pull out push the pistons back into the calipers and fit the new pads , refit the pins and spring clips , its as easy as that.
I will be doing mine thats for sure and saving myself an awful lot of cash. I assume its the same for the rears

just a word of warning.........this is the same design caliper as an "evo" uses and if not cleaned thoroughly when fitting new pads can sause all sorts of strange/ annoying noises to occur!!
