so, have just put some 18"s on my 97 turbo, that i bought on the cheap from a chum but have 225/40/18s on them which im aware are not ideal. long story short, it was still worth buying them at the price just for the rims alone (P1's in anthracite, yum on my sonic blue, though im foolin nobody)BUT.. theyre on, and ok they only rub a bit under fairly hard cornering,is there a way around this? when i took my 17"s off there was already a 5mm spacer on so ive left that in place, and thus far no rub from the rears (though looking at the edges of the tyres, the chap who i purchased them from had a bit of a rub problem himself, theres a tramline round the outside!). so my question is this.. how can i overcome the rub from the fronts? its hard to tell whether theyre rubbing on the in or the outside, and they look too close to the wing to try a spacer (am happy to be wrong as always tho).. what can i do? apart from buying a new set of tyres already of course (these are nearly new after all, and not in the arfur daley way). suggestions?

thanks all,
The B.
