They are indeed very good, but DBA specifically say that they are not track spec. They recommend slotted 4000 and 5000 series for track.
I've got the 5000s and they are fab IMHO (but not cheap).

Yes I have them fitted I bought them from RRH when he upgraded
I like them, they perform as well as look good
I have had a little fade (hard braking from 130 to 70) but only cos I slightly cooked my pads
I need to get some new pads soon again tho, Im using DS2500 pads

Which discs did those above (nellie and rrh) have installed ?
4000s or 5000s ??
I want them for heavy road use not the track.
Any reviews on the cheap ones would be good.
Web link to the Jap innovations site as mentioned above :

Managed to trash a set of front DBA 654s (like nellie's) in 20 mins wet track driving at JapFest at Castle Coombe.
Would seriously recommend the DBA 4000's as a minimum for any thing fairly spirited, the 654's are meant to be replacement 'street disc'.

I want to get the best price for DBA 650 X Front Discs (drilled and grooved) and Ferrodo DS2500s, purchased and delivered together from one supplier if possible. (For a UK MY99 Turbo - 4 pot).
J-W-Racing seems like a good place to start (DBA 650X £191.48 INCL VAT) , but their on-line DS2500 pads are £26 more expensive than scoobysport (£126.90 INC VAT) and I have not yet had a reply from my e-mail to them asking for their best price for the discs and pads together and their stock availability etc.
Anyone have any other suppliers who can provide both items ?
Is there a price for the 4000 series mentioned above yet ?

These discs have been sold by MRT in Aus for some time now. I tried to get a set through JW last year without luck. I saw these discs at Billing this summer (possibly Jap Innovations) and they do look good as well as being 2 piece which fit std calipers without adjustment.
Too late for me though as I've got the best now - AP's Rule!

PS DBA do different colour hats to match tarty cars...

My discs have been delivered and the pads will be arriving soon.
However, would using my standard subaru pads (75% left) on the new discs be gentler on them for several hundred miles than the ds2500S to start with. Ie, to run the new discs in ??
