Have to change front discs and pads at next service and would like to upgrade both if possible - only problem is that my insurer won't entertain anything too drastic. Can anyone recommend an upgrade for both pad and disc that isn't grooved, drilled or otherwise hugely different from the OE setup AND that offers reasonable pad life?

My car - MY00 (classic) with standard 4 pot calipers

Thanks

we do a range of pukka grpN discs that look the same as std style......the difference being the quality of the casting / material they are made from......probs with something like Pagid rs4.2.1 or Ferodo d2500, or if you've a little less budget Mintex 1144.........
hope this is of some help,

Retaining original calipers, I would go for Ferodo DS2500's on the front and Ds2000'son the rear. Group N discs such as the Pagids or the TSL Motorsports(Cheaper). If you are changing the brakes definitly consider stainless steel brakelines, dot 5.1 fluid and a brake cylinder bracket.
