got me wallet raped yesterday.....£188 for 2 goodyear eagle f1s. replaced 2 tyres on front made by toyo that where not proxies due to the fact that 1 had a massive rip in the tyre wall and 2. the drivers front had 2 concussion fractures in the tyre wall.

initial impressions are good. dry grip seems to be phenomonal and the tyres have a real nice tread pattern on them. will let you all know how these tyres do over the next few miles.

the guy who fitted them tried to flog me marshall tyres because he said they had a reinforced side wall to protect against the concussion fractures. half the price with the same rating. WTF? don't know anything about this brand so i opted for the f1s based on opinions on here. i take it fractures like the above are the nature of the beast i.e a combo of crap roads and slim profiles?

cheers

A touch too much, but I did a little checking around before confirming the order and I was quoted 200 quid a tyre from one place, oh how we laughed!!!!!!

ive found that Eagle F1s have a much better wear than Toyo Proxies, but they are not as good in the dry - only slightly though.
