225/40/18s on a classic?????

I had 225/35/18 on mine (MY99) and they rubbed on the rear arches with one person in the back so I changed them to 215/35/18 and six months on they still haven't rubbed on the arches even with three people in in the back.

Got 225x35x18 on P1 alloys and needed a 3mm spacer to stop the rubbing in the rear, running no problems now even with load or hard cornering, although potholes on corners make an interesting noise in the rear

They fit!!! No rubbing. We had a set of wheels in the back, person in the front, driver and someone else in the back and no rubbing
