upgrading discs and pads
#1
the discs on front and rear of my my94 wrx are shot so it't time to upgrade. I've got 4 pots on the front allready and have been told that the tarox discs are good. But what pads? Also, grooved, drilled, drilled/grooved??? Any help would be great thanks

I'm running tarox grooved disks with ds2500 pads (ferodo) and they're pretty good.
Drilled and grooved will give better cooling/stopping, but I've heard they're more prone to cracking due to the lack of material and weaknesses introduced during machining. Saying that I had a set of grooved/drilled Black Diamond disks on my last car, and had no problems (unlike the OEM disks that cracked after one track day !!).
I'd recommend braided hoses too. They give a much nicer 'feel' to the pedal.
