Sorry but not very technical, so just wondering how (if at all) much more I should continue driving with my brake pads grinding? It has only just started and it tends only to be at braking from higher speeds that I hear it, and it doesn't feel any worse braking ability than I had before. I've checked the pads (through wheels) are I don't think they are that low. In my limited technical knowledge I would have expected them to have a few hundred miles if not more left in them!

There are pagid blue pads, on a MY93 WRX.

Any advice ?

Cheers in advance
CHRIS.

Cheers for the reply Ian. I'm certain it's not a metal sound more of a juddering sound but without the actual judder! I'll get someone to take a look nonetheless.

Sounds like you're describing the noise a hard pad makes....... I have pagid blues and on and off they make a grinding sound, especially at low speeds - I had the prodrive braking kit before, and those made awful moises with the first set of pads I had on - If I were you, I'd whip the wheels off and check for your own peace of mind, but I'd guess you'll be ok.

If you are getting metal to metal because the pads are worn get them changed , as well as not working right they will leave metal particles over the wheels and body and will go rusty and make a hell of a mess
