Anyone running bigger tyres on MY00 16'' wheels?

My F1s will need changing soon, and was wondering if it is worth trying a size bigger than the 205/50s that are standard? Anyone had any experience of this? Does it make any difference to grip levels, or should I just stick with the standard size?
