S03 was considering as the best but not on the STI, your GoodYear F1 GSD3 choice is quite certainly the best choice, do you have some complaints about them ?

Exclamation

S03 had been much maligned on here IMHO, and in some cases probably by some that have them fitted on their bandwagon

We currently have S03 (17") and Toyo (18") on our two MY02 STi's so can get a good comparison.

IMHO the S03 is probably a better all round tyre - the Toyo grip is poor in a greasy road situation, although you get a fair amount of warning it is letting go

Anybody tried a P-Zero Nero on 17's? The P-Zero rosso got a good right up in Autocar on an M3 and the Nero recommended by Prodrive on their 18's isn't it?

Just changed my OEM's at 22k. Still 3mm tread but the car was all over the place so they had to go.

Still on OEM with about 3mm left on the fronts (thanks to Dave T-S for providing replacements), and they were all over the place till I had 4 wheel alignment done at 1st service.

Now am VERY happy with OEM tyres.

Edited to say 22k - blimey I've done 9k on mine.

24k on P Zero Neros, still about 4mm left

Not that grippy, but quite progressive and they do last well

Me a STi7 PPP'd I changed my origanal Potenza's at 7Kmiles for So3's and would say in poor weather a very nice Tyre might struggle abit when it's dry IMHO
