I have two sets of slicks, but I cant remember how to work out the normal road size of them.

Set 1: 225/625/17
Set 2: 210/610/17

Thanks

Dan

Hi, I am not sure you can convert directly as these are tarmac rally tires, but as far as I recall;
225/625 - 17 =

225 = nominal tread width expressed in millimeters (as normal)
625 = nominal overall diameter expressed in millimeters
17 = rim diameter (as normal)

On normal tires the second measure will tell the profile depth as a percentage of the width whilst on these tires the overall diameter is given.

Maybe someone with mathematical skills can make a precise conversion, but this converts to approx to "45"%

Cool

The second measurement represents the overall diameter of the tyre.

equation = -431(17") /2 (sidewalls) * 0.45 (Using STIVII's 45% rule) the sizes are

225/45/17 and 210/40/17.
