Question

I am thinking of putting 18" wheels on my P1 so please can someone tell me the full wheel and tyre sizes you get if you go for the 18" wheel option on a P1.

Can you also confirm that the P1 wheels are OZ Superleggeras? Also, if I am changeing from 17" wheels will I need to get the suspension altered for the new wheels?

Many thanks

Si

een looking at similar - the wheels are not Superleggaras. Not sure what the name for them is but they have Prodrive embossed on the rims.Think they are 18 x 7.5 inch whereas the supers are 18 x 8 I think.Tyre size for 18 inch prodrive wheels is 225/35/18.If you fiind the supers fit ,please post here as I have heard the offsets may not be right but I am asking around.

My research has revealed much the same - P1 offset is 53 and 18 inch wheels are 7.5 wide.

Have been told superleggaras have 45 offset and 51 - not sure which is correct!

You will not need the suspensiion altering by the way.

Cheers,

John.

AFAIK they're called O.Z Prodrives. I would go for 225/35/18 tyre size, as the 215's don't offer much rim protection.(oooh err)

Wink

Pickle, so would i but they rub on the arches/suspension when cornering or carring passangers hence 215-35-18s max.

ADY - I have 225/35/18 and no rubbing - that was the recommended size by my dealer and supplied by Prodrive.

John,

I have been doing a bit of research with the help of the search function.

So far I have found the following:

Best tyre size would appear to be 215/35/18 and I think the wheels are 7.5 X 18 with an ET53 offset.

The P1 wheels are called Prodrive P-WRC 1, I think!

However this could be complete rubbish as although I have a reasonable understanding of tyre sizes, the wheel ones are still another language to me (apart from the diameter bit)

Can anyone else help. I am also looking for a good price?
