Just had a new set of tyres put on today. I got 10,000miles out of my last set of P-Zero's....do i need to lighten up on the old right foot??! How bad is this?

Had the tracking and laser alignment done to after hitting a curb in the snow, car feels great!

Mine are still just about OK 2-3mm after 17K from new

I did turn them round front to back after around 11K though

I don't drive mad everywhere though

1. You can't
2. I don't get much chance to drive the car in that way
3. Do when I get the chance though

Well I got 4,000 miles out of a set of Potenza's last summer (dry roads and all that)

So I think you are doing pretty well

18K so far and still looking good.
Like Steve777 I don't get the chance to go mad and the wheels are rotated at services.
Cheers.

I managed 25K on my original set of P-Zero's (RB5). OK, they were highly illeagal when the came off, so I'd knock a couple of 000 miles off that figure.

Only managed 12K from my Goodyear F1's.

We'll see how my Toyo's stand the test of time.

4000 out of some Potenzas????? Serious wellie!! You'd better not buy any F1's or you'll be into triple figures!!

Tell me - is there a recognised cheapest place to buy tyres or does everyone just get them locally?

Cheers

F1's were going to be my next choice as well, as the Toyos are near to death as well so god knows what to go for next....

Mind you the fact I'm running the new engine in should give me at least another few miles on the existing toyo's

Maybe it's something to do with the driving style 16 months I've had the car and had a new gearbox, short block, 3 sets of front bake pads, 2 sets of rears, 3 MAF sensors, two wheel bearings, 14 tyres and a set of discs and a partridge in a pear tree....all in 20k miles

Taking it alot easier from now on....but ooooooh, those country roads

Cool

SiPie

I hope it wasn't brand new when you got it!! 18 months has seen me through a gearbox, 8 tyres (4 more now overdue), battery, 2 disks, & god knows how many pads ... oh and 2 windscreens which cost Tesco Insurance £1300 each!!

By the way how do you get those icons in the middle of your message???

A typical member of the "Max Power" brigade. I suggest you slow down young man or:
1/ Kill yourself or an innocent party
2/ Destroy your pride and joy
3/ Get locked up for dangerous driving

Only serious risk taking driving consumes a cars components in the way yours has. Not critisising just adding a few warning words.

Have fun, but be safe....Blutes

This has been a real eye opener in terms of sheer cost believe you me....

You pay your price for 'spirited' driving I guess...
