About a year ago some **** knicked my rear spoiler and in the process of getting it off stood on my wheel valve (solid type) and snapped it off. Now the hole in the wheel is oval and has a slow leak around the valve. As the wheels are magnesium alloy, does anybody know of a place that can weld them up?? preferably oxford area

Cheers

I would not weld a magiesium wheel (14 yrs coded welder) as the we;ld will be harder than the surrounding material and may induce cracking the best option would be to ream it out and get an engineering co to make you an inset up and pot in screwin valves or you could put bolt in valves with a bigger seeling ring same as i have in my 18s ...welding not a good idea
