Wheel coating / lacquer

I have recently purchsed a set of MY01 gold coated and lacquered wheels for my MY99. One of the wheels has a patch where the lacquer has come off. Before fitting them, I'd like to try and replace the lacquer.
Does anyone have any hints as to what I can do?
Is there a quick spray on solution for example?
