Having just changed front pads, when pulling away at low speeds and slowing down (using engine speed and not brakes) I am noticing a knocking noise from my front offside. As far as i know I have put everything back on correctly, Any ideas anyone????

 

which caliper??
sounds like you've left a caliper bolt slightly loose, even "nipped" you can sometimes get a slight movement of the caliper.......

Might just be a slight difference in pad size, could be floating slightly, if four ps, caliper bolts wouldn't have been undone, if two pots could be loose bolt.

All fixed now. Was the offside caliper and is a four pot. Result: spring shim that the pins locate over had broken???? causing pads to wobble.

 

I have the same noise
All change the disc that is the only selection
