How do I get rid of Flat Spots on my tyres ?

Due to me not having ABS on my STi Type R; I had braked a little too hard one day and locked up.

Is is possible to get flat spots removed of tyres ??

Not sure in the UK but in NZ you can get them 'shaved'. They stick the wheel and tyre on a lathe (big one which is purpose built for the job) and shave the tyre. You lose some tread but that's life. I used to get new tyres done. Sacrifice a couple thou from new but they lasted longer and felt better to drive.
