Is it OK to mix tyres on back axle?

Mixing tyres is a bad idea... You may crash
P Zeros are rubbish.... You may crash
Personaly Goodyear F1s are best I have had on the Scoob. Other peeps like SO2/3 or Toyos also good tyres. But I think Goodyear F1 are fantastic.
Best wishes

Noticed after delivery of a secondhand MY99 that one of the rear tyres had been changed to a budget Champiro GT. The rest of the tyres are Bridgestone Potenza RE 010.
I reckon this adversely affects the handling - a sort "whoa, what was that" feeling changing lanes on the motorway in the wet.
The dealer's response was "In our opinion it is unlikely that a differing tread pattern would have a detrimental effect as described, although we would be happy to road test the car in your presence to identify your findings"
Could they be right ?

Wouldn't recommend it! All the local tyre dealers I have spoken to have said it is always safer to keep tyres of the same brand and type on the same axle otherwise you might have serious handling issues. Especially on a 210 bhp+ monster .

Dave - maybe that's the point. Horrible tramlining in this car.
Any suggestions for replacing the lot?P-Zeros maybe?
Had S-03s on my previous scoob which were better.

Have a read through the manual, there might be something in there that says "always use matched tyres"!!! Worth a try
I wouldn't be happy with that tyre on there.
If your going to change the lot try Goodyear Eagles
Iain.

The re010's tramline like mad!
Ideally you should not mix tyres on a Scoob, also be careful not to mix with say a well worn tyre and a new one as it may screw the diff(s)
