Question

I'm about to put 4 of these on my MY98. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of them.

Any thoughts?

I had them on a golf and found then to be VERY soft,so dont expect many miles but being cheap to buy there has to be trade off somewhere.

I currently have them on my P1. They were put on by the previous owner and wouldnt have been my choice but I do find they are good on ride quality and road noise levels. However I dont find them very grippy (seem difficult to get any heat into!) which doesnt inspire confidence when driving hard. Only so so in the wet also.

Havent compared them to anything on the current car yet but they are nowhere near as good as the Bridgestones (inc SO2's) I have fitted to previous Scoobs.

The ones I tried (don't remember type) were only good on a dry track...once they'd warmed up - they were very, very hard...unbelievable lack of damage after severe abuse

Wink

Cheers Dowser. You have now inspired me to take them out on track and give them some 'severe abuse'!!!!

Had some very bad experiences on these tyres. Just last week i was in my Friends "modded" peugeot 306 which is lowered (silly amount) and has 17" wheels/tyres. Not going excessively fast, spun the car on a roundabout exit launched over the central section of a dual carriageway and spun 360 going backward into the slam barrier. Light damage considering what happened, it was dry too. We weren't going more than 40mph which is scary as these tyres are supposed to be "better" buget tyres.

I had them on my S3 for a month and got rid of them as every roundabout mostly in the wet though the backend would come out everytime even at like 20mph. I'd never ever stick them on another car i own.
