I'm still on the original P Zeros on my MY 01 after 21500 (lots of Mway driving). It wont be too soon till I need to replace the fronts. Will I get much the same wear of F1's or Proxes? As an aside shoulsd I put off getting the geometry done until I get the new tyres?

I'm in a similar position with a set of P Zeros having done 16,000m so far, but 2 needed in next couple of months so will swap all 4. I've had Toyo Proxes on an A4 Quattro but didn't find it suited it that well so like you am looking at the F1's.

For what it's worth, the local Kwik Fit man said that F1 GSD3's are everything people say that's good about them, but the wear rate is not as good as P Zeros.

RE tracking, no point until you get the new ones is there ?

21500 miles !!!
My insides are nearly bald and the outer edges are 3-4mm and Ive only done 9500

I recently did 450 motorway miles in one week and IMO that did the most wear to the outer edges.

And I thought I was doing well.

Yorkie,

Are you running 16"s. I went through 3 sets of 16"s in 10k each. Then swapped for some 17" wheels and the first set of tyres (Toyo) lasted 20k, the second set are due to last about the same. I've regularly had the geometry done and also fitted front and rear strut braces which I think has helped even out tyre wear.

7000m !!!

Got speaking to the tyre fitters the other day about F1s as my next probable tyres and he said they were better than the PZeros but didn't last as long !

Tell me if you make 5000m with your track record !

I got told that the only tyres to have on an impre za turbo are
the Bridgestone Potenza. Something to do with deal ing with quickly taking off then suddenly stopping .
