thinking about either DS2500's or mintex 1144 s . Was told the 1155s were just to hard and need to be heated up before they work well therefore a bit risky for road use.

Better off with Pagid - lot more expensive but the difference in braking power is pretty significant - RS14/15's are excellent

Mintex 1144 are a good road pad. 1155 are a good track pad. Pagid RS421 are a great fast-road and track pad (I've done two sets now) but pricey. I now use Ferodo DS2500 (APR six pot kit) which are half the price of the Pagids and, all in all, I think are at least as good as the Pagids. Ferodo have never disappointed, and I'll be sticking with DS2500.

Cheers,

Richard.

I'm using the Pagid RS421's on my MY00 Turbo. Absolutely fantastic pad, as good as standard pads from cold, which is good as well as seemingly getting better and better when the temps go up cross country. Also, they don't seem to dust as much as any others I've used. Worth the extra money IMO.

DS2500's on my MY00, great performance, even when cold and much better bite under braking.

Not to much brake dust either, which some have said is a problem with the Mintex pads.

Wink

got to add, Pagid done the bizz for me, 35 hard laps on track only took about 1/3 of the pad off, well chuffed, work extreemly well when red hot or chilly cold.
